My character recently learned Dead Thrall. I've seen a video where a guy has Ulfric and his right hand man as Dead Thralls. My question is how? My character has a 100 in conjuration and I couldn't Dead Thrall Ancano (oh how I wanted that), and I can't Dead Thrall Briarhearts. I get a "X is too powerful" message. Does Dead Thrall work on mer? I know I could use lesser raise spells on mer. Do they have to be below your characters level? I could deal with that.

Of those I have thralled:

Best was a Mistviel Keep Bandit mage. She was great. Didn't get in the way much, used her spells effectively, used staffs effectively, and could take a beating. Worst was Eola. The opposite of the bandit, and I got her after the bandit. I dumped her at Bard's Leap. Forsworn Pillagers are ok whether mage or fighter. I'm hoping I can find the bandit's body. I left her in Broken Tower Redoubt to try out some pillagers. Hopefully she is still there. It has been about two weeks game time. If Janessa keeps getting in the way she may wind up a thrall.
