Questions about Roguemage build.

I decided to make a new character since I finished the main quests and any side quests that I could find that weren't glitched. I have decided to make a new character and switch the build up some from my last one.

My last character I choose an Argonian that I mostly trained in heavy armor, lockpicking, smithing, one-handed weapons (dual wield axes), and speech. I didn't mess with enchanting or alchemy much. I did accidently waste a bunch of perk points in smithing since I went the light route instead of the heavy so that is all filled up with points. This character I have almost up to level 46. Luckily I didn't end up with a bunch of dragon fights like my husband did. I had no problem running into an area and hack everything dead without taking much damage. I only increased health and stamina. I never put a thing in magic and had the health and stamina even.

What I would like to do is have a Khajitt rogue/mage next since I enjoyed the thieves guild and DB quests. I want to go with light armor since I hated switching back and forth when I realized light armor would of been better for my play style. Since I'm not good with bows I'll use one handed dual blades again and I want to actually be able to use sneak. I've read to go with illusion and conjuration for the magic. I want to use some magic since I didn't with the last character at all.

The part where I am stumped is I don't know what main skills to train in other than sneak, what perks in which trees to use, and how much magic/health/stamina should I have. I don't want to get a few hours into the game and realize I've been choosing the wrong stuff and waste perk points again.

I am also wanting to know if I should use the cheat/glitch at the begining of the game by sneaking behind the guy and hitting him to increase my sneak and one-hand even though I won't be able to use the trainers to train each time I level up? I tried it once and was able to get my sneak to 100, my one-hand to 42, block up to 18 with the bear, and was level 18 before I made it out of the cave. Should I just hold off on using that cheat and use trainers each level?
