If I take a command post, firewall it, switch to engineer to upgrade the command post, then change back to operative will the upgrade stay or will it disappear like turrets and mines?

The firewall will be gone if you change to engineer and the upgrade will be gone if you upgrade it then switch to operative, same goes for self buffs

Yeah, but I guess I understand that from a balance point of view.

command post buffs don't disappear. i have done the switch before, and nothing disappears. i go from eng to op and the upgrade remains. CP buffs only go away if the CP switches hands.

EDIT: I will admit that the Op Firewall MIGHT not stay if you switch. There isn't really a way of checking, but I doubt it does. I know for a fact that the Eng Upgrade remains until the CP is taken, regardless of whether you switch classes.

Hmmm, this could be awesome! Can anybody else chime in who has done this? I'll probably just end up trying it.
