Quick AA Question?

Hey everyone,

I just finished installing S.T.E.P in it's entirety, so now I'm just doing some run throughs for any glaring bugs and graphical tweaks before I start an actual game.

Right now, I'm not completely happy with my frame rate vs graphics balance. I'm using Nvidia Inspector like STEP advised, and I've been playing around with the AA there.

However, I noticed that when you force Max Anisotropy=16 in Nvidia Inspector, you need to tweak the .ini to set the in-game anisotropy to 1. However, my in-game AA is set to 4x, despite forcing AA through Nvidia inspector.

Should I disable in-game AA when forcing it through Nvidia Inspector, or does it need to stay on in order for the AA to work at all?

Thanks!

You don't need to turn off AF through Skyrim's default launcher or the .ini files. Driver settings will overwrite any application settings.

Some people will tell you to "mirror" your settings through both your GPU control panel and Skyrim's graphical options. I've done this and also completely disabled Skyrim's included AA, AF, and FXAA, and it makes no difference. You're driver settings will take priority.

The game seems to always ignore my AA, no matter what is set through the Nvidia control panel.
