Quickest way to 100 in destruction

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:08 am

What is a really fast way to get 100 destruction? Shadowmere died from a couple giants attacking him, and he's gone forever. Any ideas?

A moderately fast way is to equip a magician's cloak (or anything that will increase your magik recovery rate) and buy a horse and then use your destruction magic on it. It helps to have the healing touch spell as well to help the horse recover (as well as boost the recovery skill as well.) Just remember that this get very boring very fast, but if you're desperate, it works well.

the easiest way is to get 100% cost reduction gear and then not give a flip because skill only reduces casting cost.

Shadowmere respawns after a while, btw. Either where she died, or back at the pond near the Sanctuary.

Train up to skill 90 by paying for it. Then use skill books and / or Oghma Infinium which you've carefully collected and not used.

Please don't use horses. It's a crime. There are so many ways. Just use it against a mudcrab and keep casting Heal Other spell. If you are very strong use it against Trolls or Frost Trolls. I reached 100 using the Trolls.

But please, everybody, stop using spells against horses. Are you so weak to do it against a Friend? A horse is no Enemy... How many assaults do you have in your Crime Stats in doing that? You must fight and train against enemies. A real Dovahkiin would never do that.

i did a mix of leveling from actual combat and buying training from Faralda. Just explore and kill any bandits or beasts you come across.

Right. But Faralda will train you until level 90 only. After that, to reach 100, it's really hard.

Holy hell, bro. It's a VIDEO GAME.

Anyway, I found it was best to train destruction by simply using destruction. Half the fun of getting 100 in destruction is killing all the enemies you killed on your way there.

If you don't want to get assaults on the horse trick, a conjured minion will do just fine. Conjure a flame atronoach, hit it with an ice spell, repeat. this is boring, but it works

How do you guys enjoy playing the game when you want to do things the quickest way?

We are talking about a single thing here. Wanting to be powerful in destruction doesn't mean you are going to max out everything in five minute exploits. I for example use power leveling as an RP method.

Because if you don't want to play as a destruction-using mage, you still have to level up the skill to get perks to put on skills you actually care about. So why spend dozens of additional hours playing destruction magic "legitimately" if you're not going to enjoy it either? Would you rather not enjoy something for 20 hours or 1 hour?

Also, what if you just want the achievement for level 50

Exactly, enemies, but horses are not enemies and some, role playing, do not like having lots of assaults.

But I've got good news for you:

For your destruction and archery training: Go to Steepfall Burrow (the top one). For archery take lots of arrows. Enter and quickly cross the bridge avoiding the Frost Troll. Stand facing the bridge, some bones at your left, your back against the wall (touching the wall) exactly at the right side of the tunnel. There is a glitch..... 2 Frost Troll will face you without attacking. You can easily train with one while the other get healed. You can stay for hours... You won't have any assaults for that.

Once Shadowmere respawns, it won't be a problem. Shadowmere doesn't count as an assault. ;)

The way I did it when I was going around and just playing, was that whenever I killed an enemy (using Destruction, of course) I would raise them from the dead, and kill them again. Double the exp for one enemy.

And it helps your Conjuration score as well. ;)
