Rage Age

Post » Sun Sep 11, 2011 5:16 pm

I just thought it would be nice to see how old we are, you know, people only expect to see teens playing video games but we know that reality is not true anymore, it changed some years ago, many years ago.

So let's see how old our community is. At least it will be useful when you need statistics to prove others you're not alone :P

Target market for game sales are divided but the 25-35 year old market is the most supportive in purchases.

I'd expect Rage's core supporters to be older based on id's legacy, but hopefully there is no reason why the game cannot have universal appeal when it's released. There must be a lot of younger gamers unaware of id Software's accomplishments.

I was born before the first Doom was released, but I won't be an advlt by the time of RAGE's release. Month and year should be obvious :foodndrink:

Well they could have not released any footage or anything ... would buy the game anyways - just because it's ID - one of rarest comanies that has that image and legacy ...

Gonna be 15 in like 2 weeks and I can't wait for this game. P.S. I'm a long time id follower, infact the first video game I played was DOOM, so Give me a break about my age.

No-one busting on you about your age, no worries man, it's just unusual to meet a young id fan. You know, you can celebrate your birthday with Quake :)

:celebration: 33 this last July,
Earlier, I was thinking back to playing Woflenstien's Beavis and Butthead mod. That was my first id experience in '94. . When i heard what they were doing with RAGE, i was pretty stoked.. The immersion looks great- Im still excited to see what the Tech5 fan do.

Young enough to still remember when Doom 2 came out. It changed gaming for me forever.

So that makes me.......39.

And that also makes me the same generation as the big Mr C. :celebration:

I'm kinda impressed about the 11 votes between 11 and 20. The game is not that 'hyped' as COD or GOW games but still is getting attention from younger audience. It's not that id games is only for older gamers but most people I've met that liked Doom or Quake are older than 20.

I guess I just can say to those 11 gamers is: Welcome (back?) to id high quality games :foodndrink:
