RAGE: an appropriate title.

After recieving this game for christmas I was completely stoked and i have to say appropriatly so. I have never played such a fantastic wasteland game since fallout and despite the game hd no level up system the way the gadgets and everything was set up gave a excellent sense of progression. so why would I as the title suggests be raging. Becuase of one very simple matter. The Ending. I am not going to go into detail and spoil it for those who have yet to reach this dissapointing 'climix' but to me it feels as if it was suddenly decides in the final portion of the game to forgo all sense of immersion and storytelling to stick to the linear shoot'em-up methods was so commonly find in quake and doom. Also what happened to weapon upgrades? Did the devs suddenly run out of ideas by the second disc or what?

Maybe the ending is a result of a game that changed radically mid-development, although the only radical change I think there was with rage was a sudden switch of game design typically recommended for (13+) to (18+).

agrew with your rants. Wish there was a RPG style of progression mixed in. Similar to Fallout that we could tweek our character and also assign certain skill sets. Looking over the downfalls I belive Rage has the best shooting engine out to date. All games will be struggling to meet their skill set. and (fingers crossed) Rage 2 will have a overall better story tied in.
