It seems to me, that since Beth's rights to fallout are going to be lost soon that they are making this game for their own Post Apocalyptia Franchise?

You know, without all the pre-game elitists getting butthurt about it?

Two things.

1)Bethesda are unlikely to lose the rights any time soon. Interplay is a dying corpse. But thats an ongoing legal issue and isn't permitted for further discussion at this time.

2)Bethesda isn't making Rage. ID is. Bethesda is just publishing. Plus ID were making it long before coming under Zenimax Media's umberella.

i agree bethesda prob isn't losing fallout, and ID makes pretty good games, Rage is gonna be polished, the gameplay mechanics are gonna be spot on, its ID, the FPS elements are gonna be cool, from what i've seen of it, it looks really good, and i like how bethesda has done fallout, but this game is prob gonna play different but it looks really good to me, for anyone in post apocalyptic large world games, i have it pre ordered already.

RAGE is being developed by id Softworks not BGS, as has already been pointed out. Also, RAGE is an FPS with minor racing and RPG elements while Fallout is an RPG/FPS - two completely different games.

Moreover, Interplay sold the Fallout IP to Bethesda.

They should make people take an orientation class on what Rage is before allowing them to post here.

Given past problems with this topic we are not allowing any discussing of Bethesda's legal dispute with Interplay.
