Rage Content Question

Hello,
I'm one of those fellows who is often lucky enough to come across (legally, yes, legally I promise) games nearly a week before they release. Mostly because of family connections, this is fairly harmless as I don't really have a large friends list on Xbox live and I don't cause much commotion when I'm around people I know, however I do have a question.

For a long time it's been argued as to who owns the rights when it comes to gameplay videos. The way I understand it, as long as the gameplay video does not include menus or cutscenes, it is owned by the video recorder/uploader.
At least, I thought as much until I uploaded early gameplay of Gears of War 3 and had 2 copyright strikes placed against my account for no reason at all >_>

Anyways, my big question here is, is the Rage team going to go on a RAGE (if you will) spree a couple of weeks before the game is out and try and take down any gameplay video they see on youtube? Or are they a developer who understands the need for open media and they will respect my personal space and not [censored] me when I upload a few friendly gameplay videos a few days early? Thanks in advance for the reply, what ever the response, I will respect it.

I really hope they respect our right to upload early videos, as it helps my youtube channel get a few views in a time where views are scarce, haha!

No idea, man. I know whenever I go to a videogame site like, say... Destructoid, and they post a video with game footage from a private entity, it's usually no longer available just a few hours after it's posted. Either way, I wouldn't want to spoil any of RAGE's action for myself, watching straight gameplay videos. Small clips here and there are one thing, but when the player knows what to expect around each corner, the thrill is gone... The Thrill Is GOOONE awayyyy.

Here's the thing. I work in the industry of gaming and I have "those" type of connections myself, but understand that when your friends and family purchase those games to sell in their place of business they sign a contract with the publishers not to release the game early - for any reason. If they do they violate their contracts. The producer can then withhold future titles or even fine them for violation of the agreement. If I were you I would just wait. I do so out of respect for the the producers. The only time allowable is when you are given special permission in order to write reviews for publications, so if you want to get into producing early vids best thing to do is get a job working for G4 or IGN.
