RAGE Upcoming DLC

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 5:18 am

Hey everyone! I'm about to 100% complete game on Nightmare and I saw that id wanted some ideas for what we wanted in terms of DLC for RAGE. I'll start!!

-Bigger, better and Harder Bash TV Gladiator missions available on both discs (XBOX360)
-More stand alone Single player missions like the Sewer DLC
-Areas where constant enemies always respawn so we can kill creatively anytime we want! Example: Take Shrouded bunker, beat the 2 missions there and then have enemies keep respawning so we can go back and wreck havok again!

Hope this helps id and what do you think??

Where did you see that Id wanted DLC ideas...I guarantee that is BAD information...I'd like to see the information on this. The game is already dead in my opinion...especially after Gameinformer and Metacritic are showing scores of 10 and 95 respectively for Batman. Rage is a 8.0 at best, but when they give Batman a 10, they should have given Rage a 20. Team Death Match was the only thing that could have saved Rage and if its not in the game now...highly doubt it is gonna appear magically as a DLC game mode add-on.

Whatever...Rage...its a game you play when you are bored of GOW3, BF3, MW3 and Skyrim...and those games aren't boring so I doubt I'll revisit Rage anytime soon. If people are still playing Rage, it is probably because they don't connect to the internet and have nothing but SP on their mind. Bunch of gamers with no skill who cannot compete with other gamers online, who sit in their "computer room" or "mom's basemant" and fantasize about how cool it would be to be a wasteland wanderer. LOL - Rage is Id's Tech 5 demo/showcase to the world, nothing more.

LOL your statement is full of ignorance.

I prefer 'single player' games but im not skill less, nor do i live in my mothers basemant.

I don't play games 'competitively' online anymore for two reasons:
1. Competitive gaming community has been ruined IMO (by the younger generations(maybe yes??)). I've honestly have not had fun in a multiplayer setting for ~5 years now. Its not cuz i have no skill, its cuz it's just not fun for me, its been the same deal for at least 15 years, run around getting kills. Nothing different has happened to the TDM, CTF multiplayer scene. Newer graphics and new, bigger, better maps to fight in, that's all really. Co-Op MP is different!
and 2. It doesn't fit my life style anymore. Having a family and various other responsibilities inhibits my game times, and usually I get distractions at the worse case possible(pause becomes your new best friend). Since people usually don't appreciate when you go AFK with out notice or you just have to leave, it hurts others experience so i just don't bother with multiplayer.

So to say that people with SP on their minds are " Bunch of gamers with no skill who cannot compete with other gamers online, who sit in their "computer room" or "mom's basemant" and fantasize about how cool it would be to be a wasteland wanderer." .. is just ignorant imo. People play games for fun, not just to compete with others to see who's KDR is better. Gaming is all about the fun and the experience, not who's better than who.

Also i would like to add its full of cheaters and quiters....campers....using glitches...and generally boring... Yeah they tried to be different with rage having a silly buggy multiplayer...but theres nothing new or original about it.

And i still think it was a very very bad move by I.D to do that, they had a great oportunity to topple bf3 mw3 if they did do the usual ctf tdm ffa and to say they concentrated on the story of rage like they said in their videos on there offical site..

They spouted crap and lies and its hurting them big style now...you would think for a company that basically invented fps would stick to that concidering how long the game had been in development for..

Christ i wish rage had dues ex human revolution depth of missions and storyline ... then i would of said sod the multiplayer

The content you get from the anarchy edition isn't even worth buying though.

how dare? you are such an idiot. everybody is different. don't judge them from your [censored] perspective. I don't like MP. people who play with me just are pain in the ass. so I guess that you won't play skyrim because it's single player only. wake up, and better get more education by yourself. MP is not necessary when you play [censored] game. I think that you need to check your damn brain how you can have such a narrow mind.

Also, a moderator should change the topic title to "RAGE DLC Suggestion", as the current title likely misleads a lot of people to think that new DLC is confirmed

Amen, just_the_flu. And I thought most kids in their "mom's basemants" were playing online so they could feel like masters of all Internet ten-year-olds? **

**Since I see another poster on here can't see sarcasm, I figured I'd best point out that I just did that. I love both SP and multiplayer, and love both aspects of Rage ;) Isn't it funny, though, how folks who supposedly enjoy playing games, can't seem to loosen up? If you don't like something, fine. But jeez, un-clench your cheeks a bit before you get roids!

The creative director said that they thought DLC was important and they wanted to see what players liked in the game before making any DLC. That is what my post is about....not people living in their mommys basemant or hating MP games. I started this post and I love MP games...I've been playing Gears and just playing BF3. If they dont release official news about DLC for this game i will return it as bigger games are coming out like Uncharted, MW3, Revelations, and the Gears DLC. But ...because I 100% game already I probably will return it anyway...

What else:

-The Anarchy edition is not worth becoming DLC- u get the double barrel shotgun which I barely used, the rat rod which increases your armor level by 30% (not really necessary). The only thing thats good is the Crimson armor that gives you each beginner suit combined. But it' nothing really to want...

-Um Rage does have MP!!! It's not that great but it's there as well as Coop MP! A game that refers to kids living in their moms basemants would be a game like Skyrim-totally SP! Game looks awesome..lol

Have a great Day

what do you mean that you and I are on the same boat, man? I don't understand you. I am not. I am not a big fan of MP anyway. don't judge as I said. plus, your post doesn't seems sarcastic because you didn't mention. it proves that you just made another excuse to defend yourself. plus, when you did this, you proved you are an idiot.

I personally don't like (actually can't stand) quizno's subs, even though i am a huge fan of the greater sub sammitch food genre.
you're not going to find going to their site, or forums, to bash them and call all of their patrons fools.
Why? because if you dont like something.. or more accurately, if what they do is not for you, move on and let the people that it is for enjoy it in peace..

NX, youve been psting such negativity on this forum well before the game even dropped.
I cant think of a single post by you that wasnt condescending and/or calling out other gamers.
We get it, youre the superbest gamer on the planet, play games with devs, are a super marketing genius and all around toughguy, yet somehow are the model of modesty..
Surely there is something better for you to do with your important time than return to these forums and try to demean people?
I hear BF3 has dropped. I hear it has great TDM.. if its so capticvating and RAGE is so dissapointing, why waste time here and not out in them streets fraggin 10 year olds for lulz?

I saw this quoted too, it was Tim Willits who said it in a couple of interviews...

"But for DLC - we have designers and artists who are basically done. They'll fix a bug if QA finds it. They're building some stuff but we want to see what people like.

If people want more gadgets, we'll maybe add some more. If people think the racing is cool we might do more. Before we solidify our DLC plans we want to see what people like." - Tim Willits via Eurogamer.net

So, they probably have most of it worked out, and the smaller details are going to be fan directed?
