Every time i got hyped up for a game it always made me not like the game as much. Should i stop torturing myself by watching these RAGE videos to make me think RAGE is gonna be better than expected or should i stay layed back and just play the games i have until the game comes out and watch the videos later?

That's honestly just a personal choice. If you want to learn tactics or information by watching videos like I do, then watch the videos. But if you want to start the game off fresh with not much knowledge, then by all means, wait until it comes out to get hyped up. But either way, I have a strong feeling that watching videos won't teach us much about the game, and we'll be thrown into a world where nothing is as we expected.

It all depends on whether the game turns out good or not, I got hyped up for Fallout: NV and I ended up hardly awed and the same happened for Fable 3 and Halo: Reach, but Red Dead Redemption also had me hyped up and delivered in my opinions, I don't believe it has anything to do with hype, but rather how good the game is. I'm hyped for RAGE, but all I can do is pray that it's gonna be great, being a new ip people aren't going to blindingly walk into a terrible game (like how so many do with CoD).
