Ragged flagon improvements?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 1:13 pm

Hi there, just wondering about something.

After joining the thieves guild I asked one of the members (I think vex) about why doing the extra missions were important. She told me that the ragged flagon used to be a "city undeneath a city" and told me that by doing the extra missions it might return that way some day.

I got excited by this, as I imagined the place getting nicer tables and chairs, carpets e.c.t everytime I did 3 or 4 of these extra missions, and I found that really intreasting.

But my question is to whether or not this is true or not, because I would be rather dissapoined if I did about 10 of them only to find out that the improvements only come along if you follow the main quest or something.

Cheers.

It's true. While I wouldn't describe it as "a city underneath a city" like Vex, it certainly does get four merchants moving into the Flagon such as an alchemist, a smith etc. You'll also get additional Guild members.

These upgrades only happen after you do the 'influence' missions in their respective cities, and THEY only happen when you do around five or six small jobs for Delvin and Vex in a certain city.

Each time you complete a special job, a vendor will open shop in one of those alcoves just outside the inn.

The decor of the inn itself will stay the same though.

The bigger perk, IMO is that doing the special quests in each city gives all your fences more gold. Completing them all gives each fence 4000 gold making it easier to sell all your loot. :)

But it is cool to see the thieves guild grow in reputation.

Ah ok, I see now. Kinda a bit dissapointed to see that the ragged flagon stays as it is instead of growing to be somewhere a bit more classy and cleaner, though. I suppose seeing more people wondering around would be nice.

Yeah, the difference isn't that huge. You get vendors but it looks basically the same. You also get a couple of new Thieves Guild members. But they don't do anything but join the mob of NPCs who get in your way every time you try to run through the cistern.
