Random Crashes and freezes : V

I've tried everything to get this game from crashing and I mean everything. This game is the only game I have that gives me issues. BF3, Oblivion, Far Cry 2, etc I have no issues playing. But with this game I get crashes at random times, more on the inside of buildings and dungeons it seems. Sometimes its a random freeze and it resets the display and I can continue to play, but other times it hard crashes and I have to manually power down and power up. I can no longer handle playing like this as hard power downs are gonna kill my PC. Any help as to why this is happening? Attached is my DxDiag and you will see I more then meet the recommended specs. The GTX 295 has to run SLI because it has two GPU cores, and SLI is notoriously twitchy. You need to do a lot of experimenting with Geforce drivers.

Most (if not all) of the problems would likely go away if you ditched that dinosaur of a card and got something more modern that only has 1 GPU core, like a Radeon 7950 or a GTX 570. As Gorath said, SLi (and CrossfireX) are both notoriously buggy and glitchy.

Getting a new card right now is out of the question. I know SLI has issues but in this day an age of gaming it should be fixed. This is the only game I have issues with this card. Does anyone running SLI have issues running this game?

It's the drivers that have the problems, so it is the owner of the hardware who has to take responsibility for pressuring nVIDIA to do a proper job.

I do agree that we have to deal with hardware issues, but we shouldn't have to pressure the hardware makers for new drivers when the game is supposed to be able to run on this card. The 295 is above the RECOMMENDED video card of a 260. If they state that the 260 or above is recommended, then they should have this crap tested already and make sure what they say works, works!

Beth, get your crap together and get with the graphic card makers and have drivers that support the game with all recommended graphics cards.

Bethesda can't make them write the drivers properly. Take up your concerns with nVidia directly.

Ok I have turned SLI off and using only one processor on this card. I've turned off the HD packs because turning SLI off brings me below the 1gig texture mark. It still fricken crash and freeze as the same when SLI was active. So you guys pointing it at SLI, you wrong. It can't ust be a driver issue as I'm not the only one having these issues. It has to be something with the game also.

Just would like to point out, if you have an SLi setup, your Vram is not doubled. If you have say, two 1 gig 560s you don't have 2 gigs of Vram. You still only have 1 gig. So, in your case, turning off SLi didn't bring you below the 1 gig texture mark. You only ever had 1 gig to begin with.
