well this started like 3 day's ago since this topic started. so when i try to go and find the BOS or play for like 5 min that game freezes, so i wait then it unfreezes and i relize that there is no sound when i fire a gun and like 2 mins later the sound come's back but the frezeing keeps happaning and i don't now what to do. i looked all over the internet and nothing came up so can someone help me?

so - to understand you right:
- the problem is 3 days old on 26th of december?
- it has or it has nothing to do with your search for the BoS? (i do think, nothing ...)

and now some questions:
- were there any updates on your pc? (drivers, OS, DirectX, patch, ...)
- did you play the day before, too?

1. no my comp is old and cant put any updated video cards and for the game it was on the new patch.
2. no but i was playing it for 1 hour before it started

If the new patch had been installed before it can't have nothing to do with it ...
I randomly do have a similar problem: My video-card-driver is crashing and is to be restored by Win7 (same on WinVista). I get a message of it in my systray (not in full-screen-mode) and i can trace it in the eventvwr.exe. I don't think, that would happen on WinXP ...

So, with no changes in software it has to be a hardware-issue: ScanDisk, memcheck, heat (it's cold outside - did you turn on your heating with your PC right in front?), ...

well it cant be that the game worked great before i hit the 48 hour mark on the saved game. i even started a new player and it is working perfectly. note that i started the new player and nothing is going on but when i go to my old one it happens. thing is i thought it might be the game that is makeing it happen as nothing is going wrong with my other player.
