I think a few guys won't find this bad news :P

As mentioned in the article, if you have your laptop in a position where the wifi can damage your sperm count, you're already definitely (no doubt about it) damaging it by the heat produced by the laptop. So learn to properly use a laptop.

Also: Laptops svck, and alway have :frog:

Its damaging your sperm, not your balls, as far as I can tell. So... don't use a laptop with ~ 4 hours of trying to conceive (iirc)

Scientific terms are censored, but "balls" isn't :shakehead:

I've developed a solution - I keep the laptop a good distance away by mounting on a tri-pod: consisting of my 2 knees .........

So what? Almost everything damages sperm these days... Alcohol, tobacco, waves from TVs, computers, radios, cellphones and whatnot.

If we are to believe what these scientists talk so much about, half of the world's male population ought to be sterile by now.
Just a matter of a few more years of retardation before they come to the conclusion that eating healthy will break your nuts.

they did not reveal the distance between the sample and the laptop, i doubt they even had any protective layer to mimic skin, which could impact the results severely
there needs to be at least 4 test groups to do this properly, one close without mimicking skin, one close with mimicking skin, one about 3 feet away without mimicking skin, one 3 feet away with mimicking skin

All of those can also cause cancer, according to all sorts of news articles. I bet sperm also causes cancer. And that cancer is also damaging for sperm.

Is there any product or food left in this world that doesn't fry your brains, enlarge your ass or shrink your balls?

Why can't someone catch some fish that doesn't have any mercury in it? or grow a banana that isn't covered in poisonous pesticides? why is so much of what is supplied to us (legally i might add) so toxic?

At this rate in the future it will be big news to find food or products that don't harm you in any way, news just in! toothpaste main cause of plaque! that'l be the next headline i'm sure.

The amount of cynicism in this thread is depressing.

As for the article itself, I don't really care whether the results are true or not (though the methodology, or lack thereof, in the reporting is really circumspect), as I never plan to have kids.

The heat can't possibly have anything to do with.. basically anything; in Finland we go to sauna and scorch our balls in 80+ degree steam! Talk about balls of steel :touched:

"changes in the genetic code of sperm".

Laptops = mutant children.

Seriously, anyone who knows physics will laugh thier assess off at this crappy article. Equating wifi radio waves with heat waves from toasty laptops? I'll buy that radio frequencies canl affect cell behaviour but there is a big big difference between IR (heat) and radio wave energy. It really seems like the author just knows nothing at all about thier topic.

Laptops can put out external heat in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. :P

So going by the previous article about sperm, using a wired connection can potentially improve bandwidth in more ways than one.

How would you wirelessley transfer data like that? I mean if you're lucky you could get more than a couple feet of range.

I've been honing my technique.

I actually meant that a wired connection wouldn't damage your baby batter.

Except that Finland uses Celsius so 100 degrees Fahrenheit is less than half the heat in a sauna.

aslo it appears that physical trauma does not reduce fertility as well, considering there is this one youtuber guy who exclusivly makes videos of him self taking all kinds of testicular trauma (kicking, shadow kicking, swing set flying kick... etc.) and has like 3 kids.
