Real life... taking an arrow to the knee

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:28 pm

I spent 2 hours searching to see if anyone had taken arrow to the knee that was documented. I finally found something.

About 1/3 of the way down you will see this report. (It is actually in column form so it collapses irregularly when I cut and paste it)

We must find this person ... and ask him what it's like to be a city guard.

Shooter carrying rifle slung across back, un-slung, then re-slung rifle. He again un-slung the rifle, swinging the butt forward with the muzzle
pointing behind him when he discharged the rifle. Bullet struck victim (shooter's father) in the left thigh, traveled through the left thigh and
into the right thigh, fracturing the right femur. Victim, on blood thinners for heart condition suffered severe hemorrhaging and died on the
scene. CARELESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM.

Me and my brother suffered bad skateboard accidents that prevented us from becoming "adventurers" any further, but he's got the knee problems. Major knee construction. I totally understand that guard. Not sure why people make fun of him. Heh.

There's a lot of stuff going on in the knee that can be screwed up with an arrow.
