I am really thinking about curing lycantrophy.

I love werewolves, but i barely use it.
And a werewolf who almost never transforms is a bit...odd for rp.

When you come to the point where you're stronger in real form than Beast form, you stop using it.
I use it all the time though, for roleplaying. It's a bit hard to keep track on the fullmoon, but I use it at night usually.
Plus, I got an excuse to go on killing sprees and kill dumb people like Nazeem.

I never used it.

In MW-Bloodmoon it felt right, a curse, and you had to watch were you were when you transformed. Luckily there were naked Nords running round in Bloodmoon so you could get your 'fix'. Removing the curse with the sacrifice was a brutal RP experience.

In Skyrim it's like a Perk I never use. Completely pointless and I always remove it as soon as I can.

I'd wait and see what the Lycanthropy perk tree has available before you consider curing your character, there's a chance a fair portion of the GameJam stuff will make it into the game.

There are no negatives associated with it and it prevents the contraction of disease and vampirism. That's the only reason I keep it on my warrior.

I don`t really use it, but it`s one of the first things i do for any new char purely for the immunity to disease.

Also prevents you from getting the sleep bonus, not that it's worth a lot. I sometimes forget that I'm a werewolf, that's how little I use it. I wouldn't mind if you had no control over it and automatically turned into a werewolf around full moon. Then at least you'd have to deal with it a few days a month, making it a legit curse instead of just another perk you can ignore.

luckily you can cure your self pretty easily if you find you don't like it, don't bother with the companions quest to try and cure Farkas and Vilkas it's really buggy.

I feel identical to you. I never use the damn thing. When I first got it I thought it was cool, but I never used it after that because there's just no reason to. I think Bethesda should've handled it better by not giving you control over when you transform. By giving you control it defeats the purpose of it being a curse. I only keep it because the immunity to disease is nice and not having to sleep is great as well. Other than that I'd get rid of it.

First time I tried it I was a bit disappointed I wasn't more powerful in Werewolf form. I assumed I'd be a good match for a Frost Troll or something, but I still got slaughtered. Also, I inadvertently wandered near Windhelm or Winterhold as a Werewolf and got fined for it. But the final straw was after dismissing Lydia out in the wilds once, I waited for her to get out of range, changed into Beast Form and thought how fun it would be to rush up to her and scare her, but she just said, "Honour to you, Thane!", without batting an eyelid. Meh!

I've not used it since and often think about curing myself.

I used it alot on my first char, after thinking long and hard over if i should get it, and when i did i kinda used it alot. Stopped using it then after it got boring, the same stuff over and over again, and using it whenever a can. It was a curse for me though as i always sleep (to get the well rested bonus) cause it kinda helps me RP

I never 'use' it either, but since I don't care about the well rested bonus but regular diseases are a pain in the keester, I see no reason to try to cure it.

I use it if i'm travelling long distance, werewolves can run much faster than normal players.
Apart from that, my character is much more powerful than my werewolf, but the immune to disease part of Lycanthropy is fantastic. I'd keep it, always handy to have, just in case.

The only negative effect with it is that you can′t recieve resting bonus from sleeping. Apart from that it gives 100% disease resist and you can turn your self into a massive tank when there is a bad situation.
Sometimes i forget that i′m a werewolf you don′t notice it so much i think.

Pretty much this. Lycanthropy in Bloodmoon was a curse or a gift depending on how you view it. In Skyrim, it's more of a little power-up that serves little purpose. So werewolves are cursed now because they suffer from a severe case of insomnia? I miss the days where you always had to check the hours of the day to make sure you were out in the wilderness or near a village before you transformed. In Skyrim, there are no lunar transformations, which sort of steals the effect of Lycanthropy being a curse/burden or a gift with dire responsibilities.

+1 for this. I am sick to death of catching bone break fever every 47 seconds or so when I get attacked by one of the 612 million bears in Skyrim.

My werewolf has stood toe to toe with a Giant and almost gotten away with it.

I enjoyed it as part of my "Nord Heritage" until I learned the truth that the Companions have been around for 5000 years but only spent the past few hundred as werewolves.

Now I shall cure myself because I realise it was a power we were never truly meant to possess.

Actually, except for eliminating a certain traveler on the road for the DB, people have recognized me after I've killed people as a werewolf. They say things like "Gods strike you down," or "Something I can get for you, you miserable wretch?"

A hidden fury spell or a frenzy poison is great for making people attack you, so you don't get a bounty.

On topic, I've mostly used werewolf transformations to travel quickly at night.

I got just to further the quest, and could not get rid of it fast enough. I am more prone to Vamps over the Wolves.

I cured lycantrophy too, becouse it became useless on high levels. You can only kill a bear or deer with it,thats it.The damage scaling of the claws is broken and i dont know but it should have at least some kind of resistance to normal weapons, same for vampires. In skyrim vampires and werewolf are weaklings that hide in the shadow.Instead of becoming stronger, both become weaker. It's not my idea of a werewolf.Werewolves in 99% of the fantasy settings have some resistance to normal weapons and or have a high regeneration. The weak spot has always been silver weapons. But there are no real advantages other than immunity to desease. They should make a skill tree like shown in the game jam vid.I would really love to make a whole character around the werewolf aspect but its not worth it right now.
