Reason for Not purchasing

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:10 pm

To be honest I believe releasing DLC and Charging for it its laughable, especially to me an owner of the PS3 edition which suffered the worst port of the game.
If i had not stopped playing your game after a fews days after the release i would have risked bricking my ps3 because of your shotty port to this amazing console.
good luck on your DLC sales cause i will not risk my ps3 to this good game but uber fail on your part as creators

i am saying there is no way they are getting a penny more from me i was stupid enough to pay 63+ dollars after tax in the first place buying this new for the ps3
the dlc for this game should be free imo but i wouldnt dl it for my system( free for ps3 users because of the horrible port you gave us and funny how this game in 2010 was soo anticipated in E3 and look how you let everyone down)

I do agree that they could've delayed New Vegas 3 months and the game would've been better but DLC is still DLC it's not free unfortunately.

lol one person i will bet many like me have either sold the game in the first few weeks or people like me that dont really care about 60+ dollars on a game put it on a shelf and say what a complete piece of garbage this game was from day one and funny how there is very few people that still play this and also this game has also been price dropped soo quickly since its release no other major title has been cut down dramatically like this so shows the lolness of the game

I agree that some may have had substantial problems, though most of these seem to have been largely fixed with the patches and such. I am sorry that NV did not live up to you expectations, however, I for one have had a blast with nearly 100hrs loged in on my 360 with no bugs, freezes, or issues of any kind. As for yours being on the PS3, I really have no idea how good of a port it is so can't really comment on that part of your post. Hope you find a game more suited to your liking.

The PS3 version is horrible. As soon as your save is over 6 mb it starts freezing and lagging after 20 mihokers of playing. HOWEVER I played Dead Money for nearly 20 hours with no freezes or lagging what so ever. To PC and XBOX users: you should really consider yourself lucky if you can play over an hour without the game freezing and the system needs to be manually reset. Fallout NW us great game and therefore I can live with the freezing and lagging. However the quest bugs which concerns all consoles should be fixed. "Oh my Papa", I'm looking at you.

my reason for not purchasing any more dlc is i'm already bored with the game, the map is too static and empty and dead money svcked and just adding some 2 or 3 hr dlc isn't gonna fix the game, its broken and even though its fun to play the first 2 or 3 times it very quickly becomes repetitive and since the map world is static, mostly empty and the environment is lousy i'm done with new vegas forever, i can't see dumping another dollar into the game. :flamed:

So you stopped playing the game a couple of days after purchasing it, and now you're logging on to the forums to tell us you're not gonna buy the DLC out of principle even though you wouldn't have done that anyway since you've stopped playing the game, seems very unnecessary but thank you for your input on believing that everything should be free.

lol not everything should be free yet i believe that the players who still play this game should have gotten something for their trouble this game was bascially unplayable and yes i will still come on this forum because i still own the game and still mad i wasted my money on a product that should have never been released in the condition it was

1. Players don't deserve anything though. They could even leave the game unpatched if they wanted to.
2. For a lot of us it is playable, it's the minority that it's completely unplayable for.
3. Not saying you shouldn't come to the forum, you have all the right to do that, just confused as to why join up only to say your game was buggy and that you refuse to spend money on the next DLC.
4. I'd consider it wasted money too if my game was as bugged as it is for others, but once (if) it's patched up and it fully works then maybe it won't have been wasted money if you really like the product. :D
5. Yup, the game should have been delayed at least 3 months (I'd prefer a half year.), I can't understand Bethesda's reasoning with releasing a game that was obviously not ready yet.

Seriously.............

- DLCs costs money. Deal with it.
- Don't use the argument that you won't buy the DLC because the core game freezed allot. There is NO freezes in DM what so ever!

- To PC and XBOX users: I'm glad your version works fine, but we PS3 users got a half done port, so try to cut the OP some slack.

umm hes not the only person that feels that way. also dlcs are sometimes free but chargin 1/6 of the game original price for content thats not even 1/10th of the game is crazy (specially when the dlc svcks). and lik u said alot of ppl love this game but not everybody does (reviews showed this, and it only sold well cause of hype from FO3). i personally wont get anymore dlc for FONV til i see reviews bc i was stupid and bought dead money on day one which was a mistake.

dont get me wrong FONV is not a bad game, it jus didnt live up to the expectations (mine) since i see atleast 5 bugs everytime i play.

A DLC's price = 800 MSP translates to 100 kronors.
A flick at the pictures price = around if not more than 100 kronors.

A DLC's entertainment value = http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1174316-reason-for-not-purchasing/9 hours in DM for me, I did it 3 times.
A flick at the pictures entertainment value = http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1174316-reason-for-not-purchasing/1.5 to 3 hours max.

I think that the price is perfectly reasonable considering the amount of hours of entertainment you'd get from it when compared to going to the pictures.

9 hours? hmm that would be good if the dlc actually was fun for me. i only got 2 hours out of it and quite (havnt been able to play that character since). i jus cant stand the radios and the repeated back drop in DM. lik i said im goin to wait for future dlcs b4 buyin them.

i shouldnt brought up the price deal but usually when i buy dlc i feel lik it was worth it but not this time (the last bad dlc i bought was overlord for ME2 which was not worth the $)

I still can't see what the big problem with the speakers/collar is.
I hear that people say they're annoying and frustrating but... Why are they annoying and frustrating?

because they get killed by them, and in my game I want to be immortal, because that's fun.

"They provide tension and create a responsibility for the player. That's not good in this day and age." is something I'm awaiting as an answer - indirectly presented though, so the proper wording would more likely start: "They force me to..." Just a snarky thought, though. I'd like to know too what makes them so frustrating. That people have to actually do a bit more than run and gun - like pay attention?
