Reccomend a steam game

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:27 pm

So, I been playing a slightly moded FO:N.V and DA:O but im just not feeling it, I feel like I am loosing my gaming passion or something.
I was starting to get into DA:O a bit more than N.V but I was looking and I have a bit of spare money that I can use to buy a game or two.

I been looking around, I see that Two worlds two is out. It looks ok, and I enjoyed the original (I got the big collectors pack for the xbox and a digital copy from GOG) but I would rather find two games that I would enjoy than take a risk on getting one game I won't play much.
I already have a steam (and shelf) full of games I didn't like or beat in a few hours.

Would like something like DA:O or Fallout, already have morrowind and oblivion. I just can't seem to get back into any of them, or the fallouts for some reason. Likely caused I played them to death many times already.
So, RPG, already have BG/IWD/NWN.
Or Strat games.
Steam only.

Total must be under $40.00. (give or take a bit)
I do not have a source engine game.
I like RB6.V 1/2
I love DA:O (I might even finish a play through again)
I have ME 1/2, and I like them.
Sacred 2 is awesome, but I can't get it to run right.
Civ 5 was a blast, but the only civ game I have.
Don't like the Witcher.
Would prefer RTS/RPG, looking for a good $$/hour played ratio, but its not greatly important.

Was looking at
Divinity II looks ok
Risen looks good.
Eschalon Book II

Would be nice if it was newer, but doesnt have to be.

But any game that you really enjoyed, I would love to hear about it. Even if its not a RPG or RTS.

Thanks all!

Alien Swarm is completely free. A fun gamewhich can keep you interested for awhile. 6 hours I think. It's not the biggest game because it was made by a modding team.

If you want a good RTS, get Company of Heroes.

Ill look into ti, thanks.

Ill check this out also.

I was looking at a MMO as well, but I am unsure what one to get.

I love the setting of Fallen Earth, and I did Beta test it, but I also love star trek. I used to play WOW, and War and loved them both, I just got burnt out on them.

Thanks guys!

One of the best RTS games I've ever played. It's also set in the second world war and not in the traditional fantasy / sci-fi settings, so that's a plus as well.

COH does look very good.
I could get the base game and still get either STo or FE.

If you are getting CoH, I highly recommend getting the Opposing Fronts expansion as it adds a hell of a lot of content. You could do without Tales of Valour though as it doesn't really add much of real value.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/40400/?snr=1_7_7_151_150_1

A very deep RTS game. If you like playing against AI enemies and don't enjoy PVP this is the game for you. Also the developer has some of the best post-release support I have ever seen.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/7830/

Fun game if you don't mind micromanaging your troops. It has more "realistic" damage than Company of Heroes and has a challenging campaign.

I recommend you try both of the demos for these games and see if you like them before you buy either, they aren't everyones cup of tea.
