Recipe for a "good" poison

Post » Tue Jun 26, 2012 7:04 am

I recently started a new Wood Elf character so to go with my very bad ability to hit a deer and kill it with one arrow...I am going to work on my Alchemy as well as archery. Does anyone know a good remedy for a health damage poison I can use at a low level? Thanks!

Red mountain flower + skeever tails - dmg health

Orange dartwings and mora tapilona - linger damage health

Salt pile+ deathbell + red flower slow + damage health.

River betties and dealthbells make more potent poisons.

All the reciepies i listed are from ingredients that are found relatively close and common to the start of the game.

I'm also pretty sure that all poisons and potions get better as your skill gets higher.

I know some spots where to get Mora. But where do you find those other ingredients? :o

I think nirnroot, deathbell, and riverbellies make one of the strongest poisons. You find a lot of deathbell and nirnroot in marshes. I keep forgeting where riverbellies are, maybe near Solitude.

There is a cave directly east of whiterun with a large quantity of imp stool. But canis root is mostly in the swamp west of morthal (a little past early game)

Dont neglect the power of slow potions against charging melee fighters.

Also if you happen to obtain a weapon with frost damage (you can in early game) white caps and abacean longfins make a weakness to frost poison, and that will magnify your per shot frost damage.

Jarrin Root. Only true assassins know of it's power.

Pro-tip:

Dragonfly bunches almost always sit on top of ingredient fish. (ie they spawn clustered in and above water)

River betty: it is a random fish in the 3 ingredient fish spawn- it is the rarest chance to spawn- but there isnt a "special" place to find them- besides something obvious like a lake.
