Roleplaying is quite important to me, and I am currently wondering whether to join the Imperial Legion or stay out of the civil war altogether. As a Dark Elf mage I figured my character would have little interest in the conflict, seeing as the Dark Elves have traditionally loathed the Empire, and as a mage he would be more interested in gaining power than anyting else (With Ulfric mistreating Dark Elves in Windhelm, the Stormcloaks are out of the equation). On the other hand Morrowind has been sacked by Argonians, and Dark Elves all over the continent are suffering immensely. Do you think the Imperial Legion (possibly after solving the Thalmor crisis) could prove a valuable instrument in driving out the Argonian invaders and restoring Morrowind to the Dark Elves, at the cost of Imperial rule? Or is it too frail, with an Emperor with other things on his agenda? Please, give me your opinion!

The Hlaalu supported the Empire. I played a Hlaalu Dunmer in Oblivion.

Most of Morrowind is ash-wasteland....the only bit left is the southern areas where the Argonians took.

Of the surviving dunmer, most are up in Solstheim and don't have much interest in re-settling morrowind or going back to their old life......if the ES novels are anything to go by.

In Skyrim many Dunmer talk about going back, but the Empire right now doesn't have the resources to reclaim Morrowind, and apparantly isn't that interested in it either. They have more important things to worry about right now. Personally I don't think the Dunmer are to happy with the Empire...

I mean they are involved in a civil war in Skyrim, but have yet to show any support to Morrowind itself. However it would stand to reason that a few Dunmer believe a strong and united Empire would be for the benefit of Morrowind, it would also stand to reason that some Dunmer would think the Empire falling apart would be better for Morrowind.

Wel reclaiming morrowind isnt realy the empire's choise also the aldmeri dominion has to agree on it as the empire isnt more then a puppet being watch every step by them but afther the great war and the problems in skyrim the legion forces are slime so even without the high elves wathcing there every move there power is just to slime and the agronians are well known for there gerilja warfare they would lose to many valuble man and morrowind it self got not much to offer of valu to the high elfs en empire to take such a risk
