Recommend a Game for me

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:45 pm

I am extremely picky with games, but the games I love I feel like I have played them all beyond death. Would like recommendations based on what I like/don't like.

Loves: Fallout 3, All command and conquer games except 4 -----CC3 + Kane's Wrath is my favorite in the whole series, Civilization 3 + 4 (Didn't like 5), New Vegas, Age of Mythology

Hates: Mass Effect 2 (my brother recommended it ugh), Age of Empires (all of them), anything and everything Blizzard makes (hated SC2 especially), pretty much every single multiplayer FPS, WW2 games, etc.

So-so: Oblivion, Fallout 2, Arkham Asylum (amazing game, but pointless to play after you beat it once or twice),

Heroes of might and magic 3. Friggin epic game... Turn based strategy game. It′s fantastic. The music, gameplay, sceneric etc etc... It′s worth a try. It′s a little bit old. But the grapichs are quite like fallout 2.

But shouln′t this be in the Community Discussion section? "For off-topic discussion not related to games published by Bethesda Softworks."

hmmmm....I'm actually not really into fantasy...but I am obsessed with Sci-Fi. And steam doesn't sell that game, 2 at least.

Red Dead Redemption perhaps?

Or
The Saboteur?

Maybe Area 51?

You may like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Its a first person shooter that takes place in a alternate form of Chernoybl. There is a wide assortment of weapons and different ammo as well as armor. You don't "level up" but as the game progresses you get access to better gear. The later games even have options to modify/improve your weapons.

Mkay, since you said age of myhology I guessed it could fit as a game you could like. But try it if you find it. It′s fantastic!

Age of mythology is a lot more historical than it is fantasy.

---------------------

OK I'll take a look at STALKER, Area 51. Hmm maybe I can take a look at Aliens vs. Predator. Wasn't there a The Thing video game?

I'm downloading the brand new Aliens vs. Predator game. Aliens with Sigourney Weaver and Bill Paxton is one of my all time favorite movies. The graphics look intense but my $3000 over the top gaming laptop can handle it lol.

I will take a look at every recommendation that comes at me though.

Im sorry to say this but i hated that game. Thought it seemed cartoony like. Plus the story line wasnt event that good and it was just weird and the glitches were annoying.

@meta i agree when i first played area 51...needless to say my mind was blown. It was like oh we go here BOOOM. and so on.
But blacksite was ehh.

I was watching the trailer and he was running around on foot shooting people and using a parachute...and I was like "mmmmm.kkkkay"

And then he got onto the Heinz chopper, and I was like "hell yeah"

I remember when I was a teenager there was this really cool futuristic chopper game, totally forgot the name. Wish there was a game like that....is there.

Not sure how old you want the game to be?
FO: tactics is a brilliant cross between C&C and FO imo.
The dawn of war series of games I enjoy... well the first lot, not played 2 yet.

If you've never played the Left 4 Dead series I'd recommend those.

This doesn't exactly pertain to anything Fallout, so it belongs in the community discussion forum. Just so you know for future reference. :tops:

If you haven't played it, give Planescape: Torment a shot.

Well, if you're itching for a classic and hilarious Diablo-style RPG, then DeathSpank and its sequel is right up your alley.

Knights of the Old Republic...if you like d20 RPG's.
IMHO one of the best games ever made.
Its a little dated though, and only for Xbox and PC.
