I'm playing Red Dead Redemption currently I just bought it. Great game by the way! I'd say it's a mix between..The Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty, and Clint Eastwood. It's spectacular!

Anyway,

I'm like 30% done with the game according to the stats screen, and I really enjoy slaughtering and and skinning animals, and I was wondering if there was some online resource that told me where every type of animal is??
I got a tip on screen telling me that some creatures are region specific, so if that's so they'd be worth more in other regions, and one of the achievements is to skin and kill 15 grizzly bears! But I haven't even seen any grizzly bears? I'm in Mexico right now, I can't go all the way north yet.

So is there some sort of map that shows where the types of animals are?

The map in the game itself has a drawing of animals in certain regions. That's where you find them. Just wait until you make it up North to find the grizzly bears. It's actually easier to just look at a map and see the pictures than to scroll through some list, then search for that area on the map.

Oh and, Clint Eastwood isn't a game. He's a person.

..well, yes, obviously Clint Eastwood isn't a game. I meant the theme that goes alone with those 3 things.
TES - Open World, huge game
Call of Duty - Shooter, cover system, blood on screen
Clint Eastwood - Cowboys

There's no cover system in Call of Duty.

The best comparison would simply be "GTA in the wild west." The game basically runs on the same engine as GTA IV. Just different setting.

Locations that have alot of a certain type of animal is marked on the map with a drawing of that animal. Bears in the very northern forests, the last area you unlock.

Kill the bears with just your fists. Good luck, have fun.

Isn't there an achievement to do that? I think there's also one to take on some wolves with a knife. [censored] that, they were ridiculous in the game.
