Hello, i am here to vent and inquire.

I have been trying to make a new character since this afternoon on Skyrim. First of all let me just say there are ZERO scratches on my skyrim game disc. Now, as i was saying....i have been trying to make a new character and enjoy my skyrim experience. I had started this afternoon on making my new Nord. It's taking alot for me to not post this entire message in caps and send emails to anywhere i thought even had the potential to make it to someone at Bethesda's head desk. Now i have kneeled down in front of the chopping block more times than i can stomach to watch, and every SINGLE ******* time the executioner just stands there with his ******* battleaxe and i get to watch a dragon flying around screaming in the background, which sounds very fun...but i can't make it to the fun part.

I am not joking when i say i have had to reload & reload because my game keeps freezing at this point. I counted at least 16 times before i decided i was tired and went to bed. Well here i am, all woke up & trying to start my new game all over again....maybe the box needs a rest i thought, or perhaps, it's just me i am so tired. So i turn it all off and crash only to wake up & give it another go.

Much to my surprise i made it past ol' head-honcho battleaxe and screaming dragon finally LANDED on the tower & got the townspeople talking again. I make my way into the opposite tower and procede on with the story as it's meant to be done. I jump across to the opposing roof and make my way along...la de da...

Now i can go through one of two doors to finally get inside and get to playing SKYRIM. And there i went to open the door.....

I am now staring at a frozen console YET a mother*******gain. I sincerely apologize for the bad taste in language, i am merely ruined in anger and frustration having gone through that whole process i don't even want to think about how long i have been trying to start a new game. It shouldn't be like this. There are no marks on my ****** disc!! ?

Anybody out there have any clue what i can do to perhaps help this problem i am having? I think that a return to walmart might be out of the question as alot of time has gone by since my purchase. Is there a place i can specifically contact Bethesda & inquire perhaps about getting a replacement disc so that i can actually play this game i PAID $63 dollars and change for after taxes!?

Many thanks for reading, any suggestions are welcome. I am currently in a state of i want to break this disc in half....it's taking all i got to remain calm and collected here.

you don't say whether you tried clearing the cache.

Clearing the cache can often fix issues where games freeze in the same place all the time.

There are two caches you need to clear.

To clear the sysem cache you need to go to the system tab on the xbox dashboard. Go into the memory section. Highlight the hard drive then press 'Y' then select clear system cache.

To clear the game cache you need to put the disc in the drive to boot up Skyrim then immediately you need to hold down LB + RB + X while the game is booting up. Keep them held down until the main menu has loaded. The only clue that this is working is that it takes slightly longer for the game to boot up.


You could also try installing the game to the hard drive if you haven't already just highlight the game on the xbox dashboard then press 'X' then select install to hard drive.
