I am experiencing seemingly random yet regular Crashes to desktop, No errors, no freezing.

it all began after installing a "better water and terrain" mod, however I do not believe this is the problem, as it worked perfectly fine before an 'incident' I will detail later, subsequently removing the mod and starting a new game did not solve this problem.

The actual crashing began several hours after installing the mod, after changing my ansiotropic filtering option from 2x to 16x, returning to the game I walked around for approx. 6 seconds before being instantly kicked back to my desktop without warning or error message. Changing ansio-filtering back to 2x, 4x, and even off has done nothing to rectify this. Another interesting note is that this only happens outdoors, or at least not in the sleeping giant inn, which is the only place I managed to get to before crashing outside.

I have uninstalled all of my mods and tried it, re-installed all my mods and tried it, edited skyrimprefs.ini and tried it, Tried save file after save file but it will not stop...

Please can anyone be of assistance?

Ok, I found out what it was, it was the goddang official Hi-res pack THAT I CAN'T UNINSTALL THANKS TO STEAM.

How did you disable it? I belive it may be causing some issues on my system as well.

Also, you can revoke it from the account via Steam Support



Uncheck in Data Files in the launcher
