There has been 27 recorded wolf attacks in North America. Nuff said. Two deaths (Alaska and Saskatchewan), the rest near fatal and wounded.
Plus a local one that occurred in a little town nearby where an old man was attack/survived due to him feeding the wolf. The animal got to used to humans and thought of him as food.
Edit: Good find Summer.
2 in over 200 years, plus one was never confirmed. Wolves pose no real threat to Humans. More people are killed by birds, than wolves in NA. Going by my original quote of your statement, my post still holds weight. NA wolves just aren't that dangerous, unless your a kid, really old, or possibly a female. Here the article, notice the first in the continent. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.html?id=c0afa479-ebe8-45f6-8e54-166cbdf9af0d&k=8065 I guess I dont keep up with Wolf news as much as I should.

I think that story happened after I had heard my info (pretty sure I got it from Animal Planet, or Discovery). Still, 1 (possibly 2) in over 200 years. NA wolves just dont attack like that. More people have died from drinking water, in 200 years.
I am wrong though, I should have googled, before reporting a 3-4 year old report. But you'd still figure there would be more. If I had never watcher that show, or read that article, or whatever, I would have bet money that there would have been more reported fatalities. I just thought it was an interesting fact, that has been updated, to possibly 2 in the last 300+ years of NA, if your not counting earlier reports, and before the Discovery/Exploration age.
