Bethesda made a few mistakes...it happens the set a date that was epic and they tried to finish it in time..... they are working to fix the bugs and are aware of the problems the game has..... we are all in the same boat. i have faith that Bethesda will fix the game across all platforms.... the constant nagging is just stressing the Bethesda team.... I myself will play other games until the issues with Skyrim are fixed... not such a big deal is it?

I think more people are upset about buying a game near it's release and not being able to play it due to bugs rather than the bugs themselves.

Go buy the ps3 version, get a 15mb savefile and try and playthrough constant stuttering and lag, while getting barely any aknowledgement of the issues. While when something happens on Xbox they go straight out and say that they are fixing the issue. What's even worse is the PS3 performance issue has been present in Oblivion(GOTY), Fallout 3 and now skyrim. Many PC players are also having random crashes and performance issues.

It will get sorted, the impatient ones need to stop identifying with the game so much and get back in reality.

This game has huge scope, fair enough bethesda made a glaring balls up with the patch and people have a right to complain, but they will fix it.

If nothing else, use a bit of logic. They can't release dlc on top of all this without going someway to appease the fans by fixing much of what is wrong with the present build. They want to release epic dlc for more revenue. Even if what half the unreasonable side of the forum thinks is true, and Beth doesn't care about it's fans, they still want to make a profit.

The fixes will come, try a bit of humility towards the situation, getting angry and fed up won't change anything, if I worked for them I'd be sick of reading this forum for all the negativity.

This game is a masterpiece. Flawed, but aren't we all? I paid the same for this as I did for batman. Bats was clocked in 6 hours, I've put 85 into this and haven't even dented the main quest. Bugs or not, top value for sublime entertainment.

Yes, we are all flawed. But if someone kept trying to talk to me while I randomly smashed their face onto a desktop, I bet they'd pretty quickly want me to stop, or at the very least explain why I won't stop.

Even if I have only experienced a few bugs and none which are gamebreaking I still think bugs and glitches should be fixed as soon as possible.

I think its more that there is silence so far on this major issue.

If they addressed it, fans would probably be more patient.

They can and do, serious bugs in past games go through multiple expansions untouched.

Why do you think less people buy their games on the PS3? Because PS3 owners know that Bethesda is terrible at porting games to the PS3 and that they don't give a [censored] about fixing any issues on it. So they buy it less, and in turn Bethesda cares even less.

They may as well have monkeys coding and testing the PS3 version. It's pathetic.

As long as the CTDs end (which the LAA 4GB patching fixed for me), I don't really mind the quest bugs that much.
I agree that the game is fantastic in its scope and highly enjoyable, and fortunately, apart from constant CTD-ing after the Steam/Skyrim Marriage Patch, I haven't had too many issues, except over-inflation of Red Eagle's swords. Dude must've really been a sword nut and the multiple quest items that do not register at all.

All in all, the Skyrim universe is good enough to make me overlook these issues, as long as there is a certain stability (like getting at least 60 minutes in before it crashes). Then again, I have patiently played buggy titles that were virtually unfinishable since the late 1980s, so my tolerance level is sky high.

You actually think that's a reasonable comparison. Maybe the first line of my post is relevant to you lol

Exactly. The PS3 life is a depressing one. It's why I mostly use mine for Blu-Ray.

It will get sorted out. Eventually.

It's just annoying that I have to make sure I'm not connected to Xbox Live, or risk my game being broken by it downloading the 1.2 patch.

How such a fundamentally important game mechanic having been broken got through Bethesda's QA for testing the patch is utterly beyond me. Smaller issues which effect some users, but not others (Such as the eroneous textures issue which I've certainly never seen in my own game), I can understand, but a Class A issue which effects every single user is just ridiculous.

More frustrating too that on this forum the powers that be are still telling users to download the patch. It should have been pulled from PSN and Xbox Live by now.

No, I was being facetious. I should have put that in brackets.

I do, however, think that for the LAA issue, given that the initial unofficial fix was so quick and simple, it's entirely reasonable to expect a prompt fix, rather than a patch that unfixes it, or at least an explanation as to why they haven't officially gotten around to it.

And I say that while being totally relaxed, man.

NO! I will not relax.

Look, really devoted fan, you're not a Bethesda employee, so stop carrying a torch. Don't speak for the "team" and don't use words like "faith" where in the past, bugs have been ignored.

Lots of people payed (or their parents) a lot of money for a buggy game.

Oh well, guess I'll wait for the modding community.

EDIT: I called you F A Nboy, and it was changed to "really devoted fan".

Anyone who honestly believes that Bethesda will sort out all of the bugs is operating under a delusion. Bethesda's track record offers no support for that delusion. FO3/FNV/OB/MW/RAGE all have outstanding bugs and Bethesda clearly has no intention of fixing them. Bethesda set their own standards as to what a functional game is. Unfortunately that standard is quite low.

The only hope for this game is the release of the CK; however, I suspect that Bethesda will not be releasing it (I have no evidence to support this; it's a hunch).

So wait and believe if you must but it will be a very long wait indeed.

I have to ask, if they produce games with such a low standard of functioning, why do you buy them?

You're right there was no need for me to post that, I took for granted when writing my post that people would read it as an opinion, it felt like this guys response was more to have a dig at the game than anything.
