Remove foggy weather from game - is it possible?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:17 pm

Hi guys

So whenever fog rolls into town my FPS goes ka-blunk! It's a huge bummer and even using the console to bring back clear weather doesn't fix the FPS drop.

Is there a tweak that I can use to remove fog completely? I don't want to get rid of rain and snow too, just fog (not sure if the actual steam-looking fog is the culprit - I think it's the blurry effect of the foggy weather)

Any help would be ever so appreciated :)

I know that http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9930 makes fog thinner and the view clearer. Try it and see if it helps in any way.

I was already using it. Went to Molthar (sp?) and could barely walk cause it was raining and foggy. Ugh.

Hmmm... Do you have the Clear Skies shout? It's an instant in-game solution.

Edit: Ah, try http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=736 now. It says it improves performance by removing fog. Should be good.

Now that other users provided sufficent solutions: why abolish fog effects? They look cool.
