Removing dependancy on 'Update'

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:35 am

Hi there,

I accidentally added a dependancy on the 'update' to one of my mods that doesn't need it... I had been looking at a mod that did, loaded up one of mine that didn't and didn't uncheck the 'update', and when I saved I now have an update dependency.

Is this going to be a problem? I would imagine for the vast majority of users it would not be, but I don't know whether having the update dependency will make my mod less stable.

Any idea what it's best to do? Leave it on, remove it? What?

Thanks!

Actually you should keep it. There's a possibility that inconsistent use of the master files leads to bugs while playing the game and it's best if you include Update.esm as a master in order to avoid that down the road. It's really something everyone ought to be doing.
