"Render Unto Caesar" / "House Always Wins, I&#34

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:34 am

Hi there, I've encountered this problem that seems to be a bug, and was wondering if anyone had a solution.

During the "Render Unto Caesar" quest, you are to meet a man who will ferry you to the Legion's Fort. Now, up until this point, I had been less than polite to Caesar's folk. However, I was told by his spy that if I bore the "Mark", I would be untouched by his forces. This was not the case.

After several attempts at a rush to the quest giver and repeated death, I decided to try a semi-stealthier approach, so I donned a Legion uniform, and seemed to have no issue getting to the Fort at that point. However, now I'm stuck at the Fort, and whenever I walk past a certain amount of guards, they will turn hostile, regardless of what I do. It should also be noted that at this point, I was without weapons, save for some holdout weapons that were not equipped.

Any suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Also of note is that occasionally, when I am attacked, the message "Quest Failed: Finger of Suspicion" will display, despite there being no record of this quest on the Pip-Boy before I am caught.

Thanks man, that would make sense. The annoying thing is that I left him somewhere in The Strip, so I'll need to fast-travel out before I can give it another go. Will update with result.

Well, that plan worked, thanks man. Tried searching for a topic that was similar, but goofed, so sorry for the topic duplication.
