Okay, so I am partaking in ED-E's quest and I am to find the BoS patrol there. I know what I need is behind this damn hidden door. I being wholly unprepared only have 45 repair (65 needed) and sadly you can't double up on booster books. My question is, is there any other way to pop that stupid thing or do I need to deviate from my plan and sink 10 skill points into repair at my next level?

There normally is 2 ways to get things done, so I am feeling pretty damn stupid right now.

What door are you refering to? There is a locked door that you can drop down to from the third floor, with a good gun right next to it.

All you need to do is get to the top floor and find the dead BoS guy in the hallway. He has a holodisk. Then drop down into the room I just told you about.

Talk to one of the robots, he will take you on a tour, follow him till you get in the space room, then go to the door on the left, follow the stairs, right to the top, and there is a key card. This will open the door that's next to the terminal. Good luck!

Cool, I went to the dead BoS guy on the third floor.

The door I was referring to is on the second floor, it's hidden behind the wall (so it looks like a normal wall) the quest marker lead right to it. So the dead guy on the third floor is the way around not having the 65 repair. In my sneaking about to not get caught I managed to miss him like a total idiot.
