I'm sure this has been mentioned many times before, but has anyone else experienced a glitch/bug that gets rid of reputation statuses? I went to use my NCR emergency radio, earlier, and I was told my reputation was too low, so I checked my reputation list, and over half of the game's factions were missing completely from that list (which I've interacted with), including the NCR. Does anyone know what causes this?

could it be that you are wearing a faction armor? (bos power armor, ncr ranger armor or similar) if yes take it off and check your rep again

Yes I had this happen also. Reputations disappeared. Happened to me with Legion and Powder gangers. Its nullified as if you would never had contact with that faction. If you will do some quest it will appear again as neutral.

I recommend to load some older save if you can. It can totally break your game.

IF YOU ARE WEARING ANY FACTION ARMOR IT WILL NOT WORK!!!

If you have a high enough reputation with NCR, some ranger will barge right in front of you and just hand it to you. I've gotten it just off of activating HELIOS One and checking out that ranger station near Novac.

yes, if youre wearing faction armor then it does not show many factions and puts you as a 'grunt' of that faction as long as your wearing it

No, in this particular case it have nothing to do with your dress. Faction relations will disappear for good, regardless armour you are wearing. Then when you do next quest for them, they are reset to neutral. It is bug.

I can totally vouch for this. It doesn't matter if you take the armor off, it ends up neutral again and will do it over and over again if you put faction armor. Kind of svcks that the major addition to the Fallout universe (reputation) is ruined completely by a pretty cool addition (the rep disguises.) Unfortunately, it seems most people have subscribed to the 'JUST TAKE OFF THE ARMOR!' theory without actually experiencing the bug and making everyone else think its user error.
