(Req) CBBE Normal ClothingArmor Overhaul

Post » Thu May 24, 2012 4:32 pm

If you know what CBBE is, as I imagine most people who use mods do, you may understand what I'm asking for. If you don't understand my request, I'll go into a little more detail.

While I find UNP to be more realistic looking in some ways, I also have problems with how it looks in some ways. Specifically, I can't find any textures for it that don't have some sort of problem with them. Whether it be excessively shiny, seams showing, or just unattractive looking creases. There's always something.

Problem is, UNP is the only (good) body mod I've found that has a decent clothing/armor replacer mod available. The most popular vanilla gear overall pretty much just overhauls everything to fit the body. That's it. On the other hand, you have the most popular CBBE vanilla gear overhall. Which is pretty much just underwear with bits, pieces and colors of the original armor plopped onto the body in ways that it would never realistically stay on, just to specify what type of armor you're wearing.

Now... I'm a straight guy. I understand the thing of wanting to see scantily-clad women and all of that. But it would be nice if there were a few mods that weren't like that. Mods that just remade the vanilla stuff to fit the new body type. I'm not asking for everything to be covered up, necessarily. If the vanilla armor was skimpy, fine, make it skimpy. But things that are supposed to be full suits of armor should not be underwear bottoms/tops, with pauldrons, gloves, boots and sometimes, if they wanna get really conservative (sarcasm) suspender-like straps. You know... so the armor stays together.

So, if someone with 3d modelling experience wants to help me (and hopefully, some other people who think the same way) out. I'd really love to see a vanilla clothing/armor overhaul for CBBE. One that just overhauls the meshes/textures so that nothing looks out of place when you go from armor to no armor, or vice versa, I'd be very appreciative.

Ah. Thank you. I really thought this thread was just gonna be left hanging.

I'm using Calientes light version because I find it superior to UNP, but I just hope there are a loyal enough fan base for that preference. I for one agree with you on the armor, but I really hope to see a good deal of fun clothes (panties, bras, garters and such) like in Morrowind. Oblivion had even more, but only for the super busty XYZ cups.

Edit: Damn if I didn't have a time finding enough clothes to play with in Oblivion for my body type. The amount of people who like larger busts is phenomenal.

I'm actually a bigger fan of the medium. Which is why I use the program you can get for CBBE that lets you customize a min and max size of all of the individual parts. I don't want them to be completely flat chested, but I also don't want them to be so in your face you can't focus on anything else.

Hmmm... you know what, I am in the middle of an exciting ME3 mission. I am locking this thread, maybe I will clean it up later. Bickering is bad, mkay?

Okay, I removed the argument that in 20 posts or so amounted to "Is Not!" "Is too!"
