I think it would be very nice to have a PLAIN beret without the modelled and textured insignia. This way, I could add the insignia I WANT within the textures my self.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to add the insignia you want on ur beret?

you can probably hide the insignia mesh by editing the army colors texture to cover the insignia area.

Sorry but i don't really understand what you are suggesting. Could you be more specific please?

If anyone else got an idea how to get a clean beret without the insignia mesh please say something.

I'm 99% satisfied with my character outfit, only thing i'm missing is a beret with the 22st Royal Regiment insignia on it...

What he is saying, is cover the symbol in the texture file, although you'd still see the shape of the logo in-game because the mesh would still be there.

Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a .nif with the logo removed.
