Request to any modeller out there

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:12 am

I am currently looking for anyone who knows how to edit nif files, i want someone to scale the sabrecat, mammoth and horker tooths 1/3 of the actual size, i need this in order use them for cubs and add them to my mod.

So anyone out there willing to do these please send me a PM or reply to thread.

Obviously, all credits will be given for supporting my mod, thanks in advance.

You don't need a modeller to resize actors. You can set the scale in the editor for each actor. Default is 1.0 (full size). Setting it to .5 would be half size, etc. Just make sure you don't scale anything too big or the textures will look like crap.

EDIT: As an example - the fox model at full size is actually about twice the size of the default wild fox critters in the game.

I understand, but i want to scale or resize the tooths and fangs only, not the whole actor in the CK, so the fangs appear not as developed as the advlt ones and also give them a little a more unique feel to the Cubs, i guess i wasent clear enough in the first post, only the Fangs and Tooths of such animals.

Opent the file with the latest version of nifskope. Select the part you wan't to make smaller. right click and select transform and then edit. The scale will let you make it smaller, but also will displace it, so you will need to adjust it with translation. If both fangs are the same part, you can work with the separation by right-clicking the part and then selecting transform and then scale vertices (surelly it will be enough with the x one)

Note that you can only shrink to 0.5 at the smallest (I tried this with humans, with the thought of making a race of very small humanoids, ala Leprechauns, but the scale value won't go below 0.5 or above 2.0 in the CK.)

Aww either i didnt do it right or it just does not worked... i wasent able to transform the tooths of the mammoth because its pretty much a whole mesh group, if it were per say the tooths a separate group i would have been able, so the request is still up if anyone want to take it.
