A REQUEST FOR THE GAME DEVELOPERS

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 1:09 am

Hey guys, I just want to begin by saying this is one hell of a game, it would be my favorite game of all time but for a few issues that make playing it unbearable for me. I am playing New Vegas on the ps3, but I think these are cross-platform problems.

1) The game needs an auto-run feature; so that an avatar can continue moving without the player constantly having to hold the joystick forward.

2) A toggle aim feature; so one doesnt have to be holding down the aim button while shooting.

I think every player would use and benefit from these two simple yet revolutionary control config changes. Why? because they would maximise the efficiency of the controller and put less stress on players hands and wrists.
From a developer pov it could be worth making these changes. If not out of compassion for a fellow gamer (with osteo-arthrosis of the wrists), than because it would allow more people to play (and buy) the developer's games and expansions for many more years to come.

1. You're just bein lazy.

2. You don't have hold the aim button. Fine Aiming is more accurate, usefull for Light Machineguns and etc. I stick to accurate guns like the trail carbine.

I am more interested in responses from people who DO think this is a relevant issue. Otherwise; by not posting I know this is something you don't care about.

And Martyr, if you had actually read my whole post you would see I mentioned having osteo-arthrosis in my wrists, and there are lots of people with issues like this. Its more of a physical handicap than laziness. I wish I was just lazy trust me.

sorry about the arthritis, but i think that would bug me. if there was an option to toggle it then sure.

but i doubt the devs would do this. sorry for ya

Nope. Playing on PC here, and "Q" works as cruise control- hit it, and until I hit a movement key again my character will run forever.
