I really dont know if it makes sense playing any longer... I played for days and hours and it was really fun! even with all the hazzle with the game - CTDs, playing in windows mode without AA or AF and much more. but now this! when visit places again that I visited before and had cleaned before all the scorpions, raiders...whatver there was is back in place and I have to kill them again!!! WTF is that??????? this sux big time!! I just cleaned the area with a whole lot of ghules that I did clean already last week!!!! so now I am getting double the exp points....that way the game is no fun any more because I will be a super hero long before I need to be.
bethesda and obsidian, this really cant be it!!! you got a lot of money from all the buyers and NOW bring a patch that will take care of ALL the problems that occur (I know why you havent gotten one already: the game is so bugged that you need so much time to repair everything!!!!) . oh, I forgot: you got one already but that one did not help....it was bad for all the people who could play the game...and only good for some who couldnt until then. great job though.....it is one month that you brought out the game....

Most (but not all) common enemies will respawn, the average rate seems to be about 3 in-game "days." It's not a bug/tech issue, it's by design. I personally like it. Just because I kill a gecko or bandit shouldn't mean they're gone from the area forever. :)

So when you want to do an area for a quest, just do it within that time frame and you're fine. Most of the time there isn't a reason to go back, although sometimes you can visit an area before having a quest and have to return because of it. Most of the time tho you get to say "I already did that" or some such. heh.

Yes this is not a bug ( But there are plently - in so much that I currently will not play Fallout New Vegas in it's current state (After 3 patches). Hey, can I have my money back until you fix your faulty product. I did not pay to test a Beta).

The respawn was the same way in Fallout 3. If the common enemies did not respawn, It would be a lot harder to get caps, weapons, etc... and the wastland would become very unpopulated quickly.

However, having said that. Maybe for the next Fallout, someone could put forth the effort in making the Encounters Random, along with a new game engine.

Personally, after the current state of Fallout New Vegas - I would like to see the Fallout Game rights go to someone who is going put forth the effort and make sure the game is polished before release.

The condition that this game was released in (Not to mention its current state) was a ripoff and slap in the face. A major let down for all fallout fans who shelled out their hard earned money.

You can always use the GECK to mod this to whatever please your taste. In the GECK got to gameplay/settings and change the value of iHoursToRespwnCell. Default is 72 hours. You can change it to something much bigger. But as Digital Justice mentioned, If set too high, the wasteland will start to feel empty real fast. It was set that way in the first place so the game wouldn't get boring after a few hours in. Keeps the players on they're toes.
