Respawning cells

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:53 am

I've heard anywhere from 10 days (if you have not cleared it ) to 30 days for a cell to respawn. Does that timer continue even if you return to visit the cell or does the timer start over each time you visit (watched pot never boils)?

Are there any console commands to advance time by days rather than the ingame wait?

Thanks.

Assuming the "cleared" marker on the map does not reset, there's no good way for me to not reset the timer without waiting a pretty long time.

Strangely I've been able to go the MD shrine and loot it fairly often without trouble, but now apparently I go there too often.

So, any console commands to advance the day quickly?

You be careful with that. Apparently you can 'break' it - on my dude I went back too soon one time and the Dremora no longer spawn there. The offerings still respawn, but no Dremora. Of course, this only matters if you want the Daedra Hearts. :P

This has also happened to me. Enthir can provide all the hearts I need so its cool. Sadly, the whole thing no longer respawns, unless I'm coming back to early each time.

You can try waiting longer, but I think it's a known issue and the dremora never reappeared on my dude character so I had to buy the hearts for his Daedric set.

Also, speaking of Enthir: if you start another character make sure you buy something from him as soon as you can because there's an issue with him wherein he won't act as a vendor once you're Arch Mage if you don't buy from him early in the questline. He's also 'broken' on my dude character. :o
