Respec in Skyrim!

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:10 pm

Hello all,

I currently have a lvl 62 Nord and the DLC is fast approaching, and i have wasted a few valuable points that could be going torwards my Lycanthropy tree or my Vampirism tree. It wouldnt even bother me if they made it 100,000 gold or 50 Dragon souls i would gather that and do it. I dont know if anybody from Bethesda will read this or how many other people but if this could happen it would be really helpfull.

Thanks

The Werewolf and Vampire perks will be earned through doing actions (Such as feeding) rather than through spending points.

So no respec needed.

And the Crossbow perks will fall under the Archery tree.

I agree there should be an option for this and only for one reason....newbs. This being many peoples first Elder scrolls game they don't know how the perks system works and didn't plan their character according. They get to a high level then realize that the cool perk they have been working for they can't get because they put some points into speach. Now to get what they want they have to roll a new game. Alot of people don't have that kind of time.

@DevenTarn

Cool, Thanks for the info.

Its mainly due to the fact that i started this character about a month ago and when i did i was gearing him up to be a melee Werewolf, but then i found out about the DLC and i figured that i could start working on my magic but when i looked back i had alot of points in 1h although i stopped using them, i have about 5 points in speech. But now that i know that i guess i wont have to worry about it to much.

Yeah, that might make sense, except for the fact that this is the first Elder Scrolls game to use a perk system. I've played every ES game since Arena and I would like the option to respec my perks. Maybe that's just because I'm a "newb" though.

Look people, the new perk tree's do not depend on level. Even if you are maxed out this is how you unlock perks as a werewolf or vampire:

Feed on 2 or 3 enemies.

thats it, no grinding, no level ups, nothing special required.

There is no need for respecing, at least in regards to the werewolf/vamp perk trees. You can get all of their perks at level 1 or level 81

I have the relevant screenshots to back this up in my sig.

I hope that they do not allow more perks to be chosen or a respec....it would take away from character individuality. The game has already mainstreamed TES, they should do what they can to keep some discipline in the series. if you want a do - over, TES is not the game for you. ( not meant to sound condescending!)

:)

TES does have a do-over ability. Its the "New game" button. I do not understand why these new players are so afraid of it. I have deleted characters when they get so high level they become boring.
