Restoration Pot Glitch

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 2:17 pm

So I got fed up with overencumbrance during dungeons(roleplaying a khajit scared of contanct with others and tries to minimize it so I don't go to general stores very often) and decided to make some armor with insane carrying capacity. I heard about the glitch and decided to try it. I made a pot, un and then reequipped and did that for a while saving the last one. When the potion wore off however both my gear and the powerful restoration potion went back to pre glitch values. Am I doing something wrong?

No, the glitch fixed itself. Bethesda recently released a small new patch for things if I remember.

use it without gear on put gear on make another one, and repeat until u get one with over 300k% or over 1mk% then make enchant/smithing potions and use those to make armor with permanent buffed stats ...another exploit to get mats easily to do this is to buy the ingredients from arcadias cauldron... sell her potions to get money back... save the game... kill her... then load saved game and repeat until u have a ton of ingredients... yes all shops reset when you do this, except for ethnirs in the winterhold college.

Bump, pots are still resetting, while the pot is on they are 76, after the pot wears off they become 51

you need to make the enchanting/smithing potions before it wears off... so drink the restoration potion equip armor make restoration potion unequip armor drink potion equip armor make potion and repeat until you have a potion with 300000% to 1000000% at this point you can make the smithing and enchanting potions... the smithing and enchanting potions should be permanent

How many would be a reasonable stockpile?

the only thing you would need to stockpile would be enchanting potions so 10-20 should last you for a long time since its enough for 2 sets of godly equipment... this is considering you make a ring with enchant smithing and alchemy on it.

And if you were asking how many restoration potions you need to make that would depend on you alchemy skill however 15-20 would be the ballpark
