Restoring saved game tmp files. : V

Hey,

Was playing Skyrim the other day when the game crashed. Lost my last 8-9 saves. They've converted themselves to tmp files. I tried to rename the files, which causes them to show up in the save game list, but the game just hangs when I try to load them.

I've done a number of searches for this problem, and other people have experienced it, but none seem to have a solution.

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem - my level 48 thief now gone. I have tried to rename the .tmp files to .ess but the game just eternally loads... really hope there is a fix for this.
