Hi,

I have got my character to 14th level using heavy armour and two handed sword. Most of my perks have been spent on those two trees with a few on Restoration (I tend to use Healing spells as I have only just found out how easy it is to make potions - D'oh!).

Anyway, I keep thinking it would be cool to try playing a "mage" or a "thief" or a combination of both but I certainly don't want to start the game all over again. I like my PC and the choices he's made etc. So, my question is: If I take off my heavy armour, put on some robes, pick up a staff and start casting blasting spells, will I get battered by the baddies?

I know the game "levels" content as you level, but does that mean all the monsters will be 14th (ish) level and thus with my novice spell use I'll get spanked? Or will they level taking my currently equipped stuff into account. I'm pretty sure it will be the former.

Assuming I'm going to get spanked, how long do you think before I can bring another skill set (e.g. "mage" or "thief") up to speed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
