Reverse gravity.

Does anyone know if Bethesda is aware, or if they care about the fact that the 1.6 update made picking up items and dragging them reversed. Bottles are held upside down making them nearly impossible to place on shelves with any kind of order. I'm really hoping this is addressed in the Dawnguard DLC but I doubt it will be. I just don't understand why or how this happened in the first place.

I know for sure that it has not always been like this.

I can distinctly remember placing bottles of Black Briar Mead on my shelf and they were held from the neck down. In other words you could read the label while it was suspended in the air. Now when you grab it (after 1.6) it is held upside down. I use alchemy and make many poisons and potions and love to put them on shelves. This is making an already difficult task even more difficult. Ugh.

I don't muck about with this - I'd much rather boot up the Sims if I want to make housing decorations, just too tedious with too few options for me to enjoy it in Skyrim - but I recall someone complaining about this a few weeks ago during 1.5.

I gave up decorating my houses since Morrowind.

Anyway, does it matter where you grab the bottle or does it float upside down no matter what? Does it do this to all objects or just bottles?

It happens with slices of bread, too. Just look how they stand on dishes.

Yup, the reverse gravity thing came in with 1.6. Certain objects, especially bottles, will flip upside down when you grab them now, effectively making impossible what was an already difficult process.

Bethesda was made aware of the issue during the pc beta, but they didn't act on it (or anything else that was mentioned during the 1.6 pc beta).

Lots of things besides bottles are acting upside down. Here I am grabbing this large vase by the top:

I clicked on this thread thinking it would be something different, like maybe a new spell was confirmed for alteration where you cast the spell at someone and they hover rag-dolling in the air 5 ft off the ground.....

BOT. your description of the manipulation function matches the way its been for me since day 1.

The OP is right, items seem upside down when picked up... must be a small bug somewhere.... :whoops:

I'd just do what I do in real life, throw it randomly on the ground and leave.
