Lets start with aesthetics and animations
Visuals: Overall 7.8
Graphics: 7.6
The graphics ain't epic but they do the job just fine. You may be left with something to be desired though.
Animations: 8.0
The animations are most definitely a step up from Fallout 3 but again the ain't superb, and the walking animations are average at best, sometimes I felt like I was ice (land?) skating over the planet. The jumping animations have been vastly improved compared to F3, as with the idle gun animations.
Gameplay: Overall 9.0
Combat: 9.0
Combat has been improved with the addition of Iron sites. The varying guns allows for more options in how to stab, crush, destroy, decapitate, fill-wit-holes, and vaporize. And with the addition of weapon mods really opens up the world of death.
Voice Acting: 9.0
Superb. The voice acting is so varied I have not found 2 characters with the same voice. From Sunny Smiles (Cowgirl) to some chick selling plasma rifles. The voices are refreshing and much different from the bland F3 voices, the voices give that character its personality. The voices are unique to that one person.
Creatures: 9.0
The Creatures in this game are impressive. Some of them just scare the crap out of you when your a lower level, if you've ever been chased by a Big-Horn herd like myself you know what I mean. You get to close to one and it gets pissed at you, so you run, then as you run more and more Big-Horns join the stampede till your knocked to the ground screaming to yourself "Get up they almost here.
Although some creatures are just plain deceiving. Cazadors look like beautiful and gentle butterflies at a distance. And up close they only look ugly but still gentle. Don't be fooled this things packs one Hell-of-A-Punch and can take on too.
