so i decided to try weapon rackso ut for teh 1st time yesterday loaded my khajiit and was like awesoem i can store my stuffs here

then i was liek you know what I'll go back my mage for 1 ast time and see if i can stick a daedric shield here and staff of magnus over there

and then no matter what i did game give me no option to place said items on it so then thinking it was the items try put the iron shield back on the plaque .. no option to do that switch to 2x glass dagger and go downstairs still wont allow it .-. left house came back in still not working reloaded save still fail


why can my khajiit show items off but mage can not ?

It was like that for me first starten off but I'm sure that was patched out,all mine work fine except for the last spots on either side(last on the left,last on the right) but the generally work for me.I don't know, if your on pc I'm sure there is a way to fix it with console command.

im on 360 and i dont have any patches so why can khajjit show off and mage cant .-.

Do you have xbox live? If so then you do have the patches, I'm on 360 as well but only encountered this bug around the time patch 1.2 or 1.3 came out( I think), the only advice I can give is... dump your system chash and reload the patches ( that is if you have xbox live ) other wise I think you can get the patches off of the xbox web site and use a flash drive to download each patch and then transfer them over to you xbox.

I don't think you can put a Shield on the racks, only weapons.

Also, the weapon has to be equipped for you to put it on the rack, not just in your inventory. Don't know if it helps to have the weapon readied or not.

Interesting!?!? I don't know?? Like I said, never encountered ^this, hope someone is able to give ya a solution soon.
