"Rip heart out"

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 1:49 pm

Has anyone else disappointingly found this yet? If you don't know what I'm talking about, there was code discovered before release labeled "rip heart out". Well I found it in game last night, which at first had me geeked but I was left feeling unfulfilled. It happens during the quest for neloth when he asks you to track down and kill the person he's so paranoid is out to get him, I forget her name but I fought her to the point that she was near death and on her knees like every other NPC in this state...when I stepped in to give her the final blow, "rip heart out" was displayed with the action button A. I got excited to see what I was hoping would be a sweet kill animation but as I pressed A, she just made a "UGHHH" sound then fell over.

Well, that is quite dissapointing. Considering that Skyrim was already tabbed with the meaningless "M for Mature" rating, I do not understand why an animation would be left out.

I was fine with it not being animated. Eww. For that matter, you don't get a specific animation every time you take a blood sample for that one quest in Skyrim.

That svcks, bro.

My game did the animation. I lifted her back to her feet, then like Scorpion my character reached into her chest and pulled the Heartstone out. It was actually really cool, and I don't normally go for QTE's.

Any way you could go to a previous save and try again?

There is an animation, and it's actually pretty cool. I think your game glitched.

I had an animation in that quest. My character grabbed her by the shoulder and shoved his hand at her chest. It didn't show him tearing the heart out, but it was enough that I thought it was pretty awesome.

The animation was actually kind of cool-looking.

It seems as if many others were able to see a bit of gore during their animations. Perhaps you had a glitch or bug? I do hope your are able to load a previous save in the hopes of witnessing it.

I felt bad for her.
I didnt really think it was awesome to rip her heart out like that, I wish she wasnt completely insane from the stone and I couldve reasoned with her.

Daammmmit! ha I had a feeling it might've been a bug but then I thought of werebears and assumed it was another letdown and I normally never assume. I saved over the save before fight so i'm s.o.l but i'll be more careful on my next character
thanks for letting me know everyone
