Rise and Fall on Windows 7

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 4:18 pm

I've been trying to install Rise and Fall on Windows 7 but when I install it, it says I have to reboot for an update. But when I reboot my comp goes into startup repair and uninstalls Rise and Fall, and the cycle continues like that. Anyone got any idea how to fix this?

you did the basic, generic, trouble shooting stuff right? (restarting your computer before retrying, unistalling and reinstalling, etc.)

I some times have issues with windows 7 constantly wanting to update and then taking all night on progress 3 of 7 (or whatever) and by then I usually get frustrated and shut the computer down.

my best advice is give it a day or two after it does the update, then try again.

The thing is it updates but needs to reboot but the startup repair uninstalls it

did you try

running in compatability mode.

setting to run as Admin?

did you try copying and saving your entire install folder before the update, let it run, then cuting and pasting your install folder back into its original location?

Note: I have no first-hand knowledge on subject.

Seems like you need to patch the game (before rebooting). Reboot and then install a Windows 7 star-force [DRM] driver update. Its a problem with the DRM that is causing the game to be uninstalled.
