Rising lockpick skill

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:32 am

So, I'm just about at level 10 and heading to Boulder City. I finally got my lockpick to 50, and as much as I want to press forward to New Vegas, I can't help but think about all the doors and containers that I couldn't open.

Any notable locked loot in and around the early areas of the game? I'm trying to decide if I should backtrack for supplies or just press on.

Honestly, it seems like everything's just a big Giant U. I'd make note of locks you can't open and everytime you reach a new threshold, start walking the U all over again and get what you missed. Or if you don't keep track of things you couldn't unlock, just go back through everything.

Thanks!

I'll check out Nipton again and then press forward. I'm sure my travels will send me back down paths I've already been down, so I can collect then.

How is the loot in the NCR Prison (right next to Goodsprings). There is at least 2 things in there that require a lockpick of 50.

One of the first things I upgraded to 100 was my lockpick (I'm level 11 right now). I don't regret it yet (yet being the operative word).

I agree. The first thing I usually get up in Lockpick. It's extremely useful. I really need to get my science up though. Been working on Barter so I can get the fast travel while burdened perk.
