So, I have started planning a raod trip from San Diego out east along the 10, perhaps to austin, up and over through colorado, down throught he 4 corners tot he grand canyon and back... What I am wondering about is points of interest.. Of course there are a lt of great natual wonders to behold, as well as a lot of great old indian ruins..

I am wondering if anyone else has toured this reigion and if there are any odd and fun things to do.. things like strange museaums and the like.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Texas has some really good haunted houses, the "theme park" kind, you might want to check out if youre down there in September/October.

Yup to Austin... Eat some bbq in lockhart or elgin whenever you are in.
Probably be able to catch some part of a film festival, fanastic fest?

Tour the Capital, wander 6th street at night..

Natural bidge caverns somewhere around san marcos.

Theme parks are Six Flags and Seaworld.

There's a huge meteor crater near Winslow Arizona just off I-40. I thought I was wasting time going there, but really enjoyed it ans was glad I stopped.

Had thought about Roswell.. May make it out towards San Marcos, acrually as my lady has family that lives there.

Meteor Crater is definately a stop on the way back... Plan on hitting up a stretch of Historuic Route 66 around Winslow and the Grand Canyon as well.

Third Eye, you a transpalnt?

Cheers and keep em coming

I can definitely recommend Colorado.

If anything, you gotta at least take I-70 from Denver to Grand Junction. Into the mountains on the east side, and straight through em out the other side on the west.

Awesome drive, straight through the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Twentynine Palms, California! It's where I grew up. Go to Joshua Tree National Park if you haven't already.

I second this. Utah's a great place too. Utah is more of a place that has to be investigated intimately to be truly appreciated though. Nonetheless, you can pass through Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion in one route, and they all have good stuff that you can just stop along the way and look at. They aren't far from Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon either.

Not to mention Zion is going to be featured in the next New Vegas DLC and it would be cool to see it first hand.
