Xbox 360; Sec Tower; opening challenge. I am a medic and so is the only other human player. I sprinted up and opened the conduit cover, got displaced from there. Short time later the other human and I manage to take control of the little vestibule area. A soldier bot shows up, firing up at the guys on the wall. He steps into cover in our vestibule, then steps back out and continues to fire up. We had control... if he'd just planted the HE... but he wouldn't... and we got pushed back into the sea.

(This was multi-player verses, and I was playing "my rank or above" and was only rank 2 on this (my third or fourth character).

Hehe I lol'd at getting pushed back into the sea xD But why didn't you swap to the objective class and plant the charge yourself? Maybe this is your first brush with the Artificial UNintelligence. After this though I'm guessing you won't be relying on bots anymore. 'If you want anything done, you gotta do it yourself' -_-

I know about changing classes and I had spent some time in the other class, but my current load out of attributes made being soldier very un-likely. We weren't getting _to_ the objective when I was a soldier, so I was buffing-n-buffing to get us their, then the AI just wouldn't do its job. Again the _intended_ point of this thread is to observe bot errata, not to say get into a second-guessing match about tactics.

My point was that the bot was _right_ _there_ and it wouldn't do its job.

I didn't even _start_ on the bot's insistence on _walking_ the zig-zag to that objective instead of hopping the wall.

I almost always play my dual specced Engineer/Soldier, but I also have a Medic/Opp, both of them being Rank 5. When I play on my Medic/Opp, I honestly switch to soldier on Security Tower anyhow, even when I have no points put into that class. The first objective is rediculous unless you do it yourself.
